Quando Francesca mi ha contattato per scattare un po’ di fotografie al battesimo della sua bellissima piccola, Silvia Fedora, mi ha regalato una bellissima sensazione. Lei è stata l’editor del mio primo romanzo, L’Innocenza Proibita, pubblicato nel 2010 – mi ha aiutato tantissimo, sul testo come nella vita. Da allora non ci siamo praticamente visti per tre anni.
Non si sarebbe trattato, insomma, soltanto di una giornata da immortalare, ma di un mix di emozioni, ricordi, affetti…
Mi ha chiesto di scattare in uno stile che ricordasse il reportage, e di pensare all’evento più nei termini di un matrimonio che meramente a un battesimo. La location era bellissima: la Chiesa di San Marco nello storico quartiere milanese di Brera e, più tardi, la Villa Trivulzio a Omate. La serata è iniziata con un aperitivo nel giardino all’italiana e si è conclusa con una elegante cena in una sala dalla delicata atmosfera, dipinta dai colori soffusi del tramonto prima e della luce lunare poi.
Silvia Fedora è stata meravigliosa: ha pianto pochissimo e ci ha regalato le tinte incredibili dei suoi occhi. Grazie ancora, Francesca e Angelo!
When Francesca contacted me to shoot some photographs at the baptism of her wonderful daughter Silvia Fedora, I was just glad and honored. She had been the editor of my first novel, L’Innocenza Proibita, published in 2010 – she helped me so much, in writing as well as in life – and we almost have not seen each other for three years.
So, it was not only a shooting day. It was a mixture of sensations, memories, affection…
She asked me to shoot in a reportage style, and to think of the event more like a wedding than “just” a batpism. The location was great: the Church of Saint Mark in the beautiful Brera district of Milan and, later, the Villa Trivulzio in Omate. The evening started with an aperitif in the italian-style garden and ended with an elegant dinner in the hall, enjoying a delicate atmosphere pictured by the colours of sunset and moonlight in the park.
Silvia Fedora has been great: she cried just a little and she gifted us her amazing blue eyes. So thanks again, Francesca & Angelo!
